Katie came home with a huge smile on her face and a big surprise. She was named Star Student of September for Mrs. Blankson’s class. She learned the news when Mrs. Terrell read her name (along with the other stars) during announcement time. She enjoyed lunch with her fellow stars in Mrs. Terrell’s office and, along with the fine button she is sporting in the picture, she also has a new bookmark and pencil. Woo hoo!

Katie is a friendly girl who is always polite. She remembers to use “please” and “thank you.” During these beginning weeks we have been working on rules and being a good classroom citizen. Katie is a good role model.
